Take your Faculty Member to Lunch for Free!
1. Name of faculty member.
2. How you met or heard of this individual?
3. Why you are interested in getting to know this faculty member better?
4. Three to five specific questions you wish to ask the faculty member such as how did you decided to pursue your current field? Where did you earn your degree or secure your training? What advise would you have for someone interested in your field?
5. List your name and the names of one to two friends you wish to take to lunch as well.
House Mentors will review the applications and contact you via email if you have been selected for the Faculty/Student lunch program. Residents selected will be able to take the faculty member and up to two friends out to lunch in Foggy Bottom for free! GW Housing will pick up your lunch tab!

DC Through a Different Lens Photography Competition
The DC Through a Different Lens photography competition has been opened up to
any 3rd/4th year GW residents that are interested.
Participants must send in 2 of their best photos that represent the spirit and culture of any DC neighborhood. Submissions should emailed to Laurel Gwizdak <gwizdak@gwmail.gwu.edu>No later than Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009. Photos will be on display and voted on at the Gallery Opening on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009 in the South Hall Community Room from 8p-10p.
Judges will include fellow students, as well as several guest judges:
-Dr. Steven Kelts (Faculty in Residence)
-Dr. Todd Ramlow (Faculty in Residence)
-Dr. Rachel Pollack (Faculty in Residence)
-Dr. Jay Coughlin (UCC)
-Dr. Carol Stapp (GSEHD Museum Education)
-Will Stapp (Photographic Historian and former Curator of Photographs at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery and at Eastman House)
Prizes will be awarded for various categories including "Student Choice" and "Best of Show."
The GRAND PRIZE WINNER will receive:
- Professionally matted and framed copy of his/her picture!
- A copy of the picture hung in his/her residence hall!
